Equipped with a slope card and a distance lanyard, this compass is perfect for assessing avalanche risk and determining the difficulty of your journey. The slope card helps you calculate the extra distance needed to navigate slopes, while the distance lanyard features scales of 1:25 and 1:50 for measuring your hike.

The Expedition Global features a DryFlex grip for easy handling, a clinometer for measuring slope angles, and a built-in adjuster for magnetic declination. It also includes map-measuring capabilities in various scales, such as 1:25k, 1:40k, and 1:50k, as well as GPS scales. The baseplate is designed with a curved-up back-end for a comfortable grip, a magnifying lens, and rubber friction feet for precise map work.

The compass has a clear contemporary font with distinct arrow and scales/markings for easy navigation, especially with its luminous markings and graduation ring for night-time use. The red/black North/South lines in the capsule bottom ensure secure settling. The needle, made from high-quality Swedish steel, can be used in all three magnetic zones.

For night-time navigation, the luminous markings and graduation ring can be activated for up to 4 hours with daylight or a flashlight. The detachable distance lanyard is soft and bendable, making it easy to place on your route on the map.
